Hybrid Book Contest

New Constructions is WCP's annual book contest, in which we seeks to publish work that expands the language and spirit of the hybrid form.

​

We are looking for works that collide or collaborate, in both material and design (like trees & skyscrapers).  While hybrids of written and visual work are welcome, we are also looking for work that finds new elements to combine within the forms of poetry, fiction or essays. Works that move across times, languages, histories, that juxtapose, interpolate, and discover new patterns.

 

The editors of Wet Cement Press will choose the winning manuscript. The winner will receive a standard publishing contract and book publication with WCP. There is no cash reward.

We are looking for meaningful hybrid works of approximately 75-150 pages.
